Are We being poisoned?
Here are a few pages from my latest book, Deception in the Modern Age. In this section, I delve into what fluoride really is and expose the misconceptions surrounding it. Far too many people believe fluoride is added to toothpaste for our benefit. Many also assume it is safe because our bodies naturally produce a form of fluoride. However, there are actually two distinct types of fluoride, and the difference between them is significant.

The CIA, Heroin, and the Vietnam War
During the Vietnam War (1955–1975), the CIA was heavily involved in Southeast Asia, particularly in Laos, where it conducted a secret war against communist forces in coordination with local militias like the Hmong. The region, known as the Golden Triangle—where the borders of Laos, Thailand, and Burma (Myanmar) converge—was one of the world's most prolific opium-producing areas. Several sources have alleged that the CIA either turned a blind eye to or actively facilitated the trafficking of heroin as part of its larger Cold War strategy:
Air America: This airline, covertly owned and operated by the CIA, was ostensibly used for transporting troops and supplies. However, investigative journalists like Alfred McCoy, author of The Politics of Heroin, reported that it was also used to transport opium and heroin from remote poppy fields in Laos to regional distribution hubs. From there, the drugs would make their way into international markets, including the United States.
Hmong Allies and Opium Trade: The Hmong people, whom the CIA supported militarily, funded much of their resistance against communists through opium cultivation. Critics argue that the CIA knowingly allowed this in exchange for loyalty and battlefield success.
Heroin Epidemic in the U.S.: By the early 1970s, heroin addiction had surged among American troops in Vietnam and in cities across the United States. Some researchers suggest that a portion of the heroin entering U.S. markets during this period had its origins in Southeast Asia and may have been tied to these covert networks.
Government Denials vs. Independent Investigations
The CIA has consistently denied involvement in drug trafficking. However, multiple independent investigations and congressional testimonies have suggested otherwise. The 1975 Church Committee (U.S. Senate Select Committee to Study Governmental Operations with Respect to Intelligence Activities) explored various abuses by the CIA but fell short of definitively proving the agency’s role in drug smuggling.
In 1991, Gary Webb, a journalist for the San Jose Mercury News, reignited controversy with his Dark Alliance series, though this primarily dealt with the crack epidemic and CIA-Contra links in the 1980s. However, Webb cited earlier Vietnam-era patterns as a precursor to these later events.
